These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of Slingshotter, including the website, browser game, accounts, cloud saves, leaderboards, and paid funding features.
By using Slingshotter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Slingshotter is published by:
The website is hosted with Firebase Hosting, a Google Cloud service operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Slingshotter is a browser-based spaceflight simulation and editor game. The game lets players design rockets, plan missions, simulate trajectories, manage an in-game budget, complete contracts, save campaigns, and compare eligible campaign progress on a leaderboard.
Slingshotter is currently designed for desktop browsers. The landing page may be available on mobile devices, but the game itself may not be playable on phones or small screens.
The service may change over time. Features, game balance, prices, funding amounts, contracts, save formats, and availability may be updated, removed, or reset when needed to operate, secure, or improve the game.
You may be able to use Slingshotter anonymously, with an email/password account, or with Google sign-in.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under your account. Contact support@slingshotter.space if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe an account is being used to abuse the service, interfere with other users, bypass payment or security systems, attack the service, or violate these Terms.
Slingshotter may store your game state, campaign progress, player profile, paid plan status, and related data in cloud services so that the game can save and restore your campaign.
Game saves are provided as part of the service, but we cannot guarantee that every save will always be available, compatible, or recoverable. You should expect occasional changes during development, including balance updates and save-format changes.
Restarting a game deletes your active campaign save and creates a fresh campaign. This does not necessarily delete your account, payment records, support communications, analytics records, or other information that must be retained for security, legal, accounting, or operational reasons.
Slingshotter may display eligible campaign results on a leaderboard. Leaderboard entries may include your leaderboard tag, base name or flag, campaign year, contract revenue, completed contracts, and budget spent.
Do not use personal information, offensive content, infringing content, or misleading names in your leaderboard tag or base name. We may rename, hide, remove, or disqualify leaderboard entries that appear abusive, unlawful, misleading, or inconsistent with fair play.
Slingshotter may offer paid digital benefits, such as additional in-game budget or funding for your campaign. Paid funding is a digital game feature. It has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn as money, cannot be transferred outside the service, and does not represent ownership of any real-world asset.
Payments are processed by Stripe. The price, currency, taxes, and payment methods are shown during checkout. Your purchase is completed when Stripe confirms the payment and Slingshotter applies the paid funding or paid plan status to your account.
You must create or use a non-anonymous account before buying paid funding so that the purchase can be linked to your campaign.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchases are one-time purchases and are not subscriptions.
If you are a consumer and applicable law gives you a right to withdraw from a distance purchase, you may exercise that right within 14 days by contacting support@slingshotter.space, unless a legal exception applies.
Digital content or digital services may be provided immediately after purchase. If, during checkout or another purchase flow, you expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that this causes loss of your withdrawal right, you may lose that right once the digital content or service begins.
If you believe a purchase failed, was duplicated, was unauthorized, or was not applied to your account, contact support@slingshotter.space. Statutory consumer rights are not limited by these Terms.
You agree not to:
Slingshotter, including its code, design, text, graphics, gameplay systems, documentation, logos, and other content, is owned by EI Eric Leibenguth or its licensors, except for third-party materials and open-source components.
These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Slingshotter for normal gameplay. They do not transfer ownership of Slingshotter or any intellectual property rights.
Slingshotter uses third-party services, including Firebase, Google sign-in, Google Cloud, Google Fonts, Stripe, and Discord links. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that are outside our control.
Slingshotter is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We try to keep the service useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent availability of saves, or scientific, educational, or engineering accuracy.
The game is a simulation and entertainment product. Do not rely on Slingshotter for real-world aerospace, engineering, financial, educational, or safety decisions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EI Eric Leibenguth is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or service interruption arising from use of Slingshotter.
Information about how Slingshotter collects and uses personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
For support, account, payment, privacy, or complaint questions, contact support@slingshotter.space.
If you are a consumer, you should contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue directly. If the issue is not resolved, you may be entitled to use a consumer mediator. The mediator details must be added to these Terms once designated.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
Your continued use of Slingshotter after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of any mandatory protections provided by the laws of their country of residence.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it will be handled by the competent courts under applicable law.
